Terms of Service

Stage Monkey is a free service that lists live performing-arts productions across the UK. By using the site, submitting a listing, or creating an account, you agree to these terms. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

1. The service

Stage Monkey lists productions submitted by venues, societies and organisations, and found through our own research. We take no payments and are not a party to any ticket purchase — booking links take you to the venue or society's own box office, and your booking is between you and them.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• One account per person. Keep your password confidential — you're responsible for activity under your account.
• Accounts are free. You can delete your own account at any time from your account settings.

3. Submitting listings

• You warrant that any listing you submit is accurate and that you're authorised to submit it on behalf of the organisation named.
• Submitted listings are reviewed before publishing. We can reject, edit or remove any listing at our discretion — for example, if details are inaccurate, unverifiable, or the listing is misleading.
• If you edit a listing that's already live, it's sent back for a quick recheck before it's public again — this protects everyone from a listing being silently changed after approval.
• You can withdraw your own listings at any time from My productions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• submit false, fraudulent, or misleading listings;
• scrape, systematically extract, or excessively request data from the site;
• attempt to bypass rate limits or security measures; or
• use the site for any unlawful purpose.

5. Disclaimer

Listings are provided “as is”. While we review submissions and run our own checks, we can't guarantee every detail (dates, prices, availability) stays accurate after publishing — always confirm with the venue or box office before booking. We are not liable for losses arising from a booking made with a third party, or from inaccuracies in a listing we didn't create ourselves.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove an account or listing that breaches these terms. You can close your own account at any time — see account settings.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
